While I keep reading and making changes in my Etsy shop according to the tips I've read; I also try to add new items before the holiday season. As you can imagine hectic days follow eachother and still too much to do. Before I apply and test all that I found on my search today I'll just give  little tip on promoting your Etsy shop that I saw that works to bring more traffic to your shop. Try to change your titles into words that's on Etsy seach terms (type and see if it's on Etsy search and if not check what's there instead). This will carry your item a few pages ahead on Etsy pages. Crochet tablecloth...

Here's another result of my work on making my listings look better and ready fır the holiday season. My old followers would remember this tablecloth I've crocheted. It's one of the hardest projects I've ever completed and I really love this one, but I realize I've kept that listing active, but the photos I've edited before I learned paint, picasa and etc. better, made it seen dull. Getting ready for Winter...

Weather started to get cooler day by day so I thought it would be ready to get my listings ready for Winter. I've found a few that needed some changes and editing; especially the ones I haven't renewed, waiting for a few months to prevent my shop visitors swelter seeing winter items on their screen on a scorching Summer day :). The jersey I'll post today is one of them. I've edited its photos earlier today. ones that have visited my shop would remember me using white background on my items photos, but this isn't good when the item is white itself so I've started to change the back layer of such items. Woolopia's new logo...

It's been nearly a week, but I was really busy with backlog work that I've suspended for so long. It was after the first change into worse of Etsy that I've searched the net and found tips to promote better online, but I could just start to read them last week and when I apply them and check if they work or not I'll list them here so ones that interest on finding tricks to increase their traffic and sales would use them also. First thing I've learned from all I've read on last few days is that you need to have a catchy and consistent logo and banner so I've made new ones for my shop (actually my visitors might have realized a wider sample of one here on this page :)). It was a really hot day and one feels the heat more when she has things to do outside :). It was just the same for me, because I needed to do some grocery shopping so I've walked to the bazaar nearby. After coming back; I've tried to complete a few items that I've suspended to times after cousins left for Germany. I've took a few out and worked on them a litte and I guess I'll have at least one ready next week. Actually I can complete them so fats, but Etsy's unfair new settings kills the ambition in me to list new ones before I see a change there for better soon; otherwise I think I'll try to open a new shop on a similar site. Red Chiffon Scarf...

Since we started the new season of scarves; I guess we should walk on the chic side a bit more. It's good to know what you'll blog at the start of the day and it was one of those lovely days for me, because I've planned to share the twin of the scarf I've shared the day before. This one differs from its twin not only by its color, but also the way I've embellished it. I've used beads and spangles on this one and sent it to one of my customers as a wedding gift, but sure when somebody asks for it; I can always make a new one ready in a few days. Scarf Season Started :)

You know in many countries there are specific days that start and end seasons for fishing, hunting, etc. and for me the first day of September is the start of scarf season. I think that scarves are the best accessories for Spring & Fall on which we need to be more careful with our neck; keep it warm so that we'll not have sore throat as the weather changes. Besides being the best protection; they're also awesome combo's with our shirts and blouses before we take our shawls out of our wardrobes as we head slowly to winter. While it's still hot on the first few days of September; I recommend scarves made of lighter fabric like silk or chiffon so today I'll share a chiffon one that I've embellished with crochet. Farewells for August...

I've had an awesome time with relatives and just like every beautiful thing; it ended a bit sooner than we expected. Yesterday cousins left for istanbul and then for Germany and uncle's house is like its haunted now having only uncle and aunt after the deperture of their children and grandchildren. You know when you get used to see somebody every day; their missing gets bigger than usual and I'll be longing for their next visit; hopefully nest year. It was really hard to be online while they were there, but as I've said I was really happy even on days I couldn't do any of my daily chores. Today was my cleaning the house day as usual and I try to do my best online after long tiring hours. I've made a new treasury and sharing it here as usual with the hope you all will like it...

A day in the forest...

Some of my earlier followers would remember me writing about my city and the mountain that it lays at the skirts called Uludağ (Grand/Great/ Mountain or Paramount). Today we went to the national Park on it and the hut that one of our cousins hired there and had great time except the nausea that I had of the pressure change. Took many photos, but am a bit tired to transfer them to the lappy so will just share a few showing the landscape; as usual with the hope you all will like them...

Scarf for Summer & Fall

It's been a really hot day even August's about to end. As you know I spend every possible moment with my cousins, but it makes promoting my shop and making new items ready for it harder than times they were away. No matter how hard it is; I'm still happy to have the chance to be with them. I sure try to work online as much as I can and while doing this today; I've seen a favorite shop of Etsy owners that keeps advertising every item so Etsy can make more money and being promoted by Etsy by some covert operations has just left Etsy. I hope this will be an enough impact for Etsy owners whom they really make money of and remember the times that everything was fair for real crafters. Today I want to share a brown crepe de chine scarf that I've embellished with same color crochet. Splendid times..

As I've mnentioned on my previous posts; I try spend as much time as I can with cousins, nephews and nieces from Germany and İstanbul and last we had a cousins' dinner at my uncle's place that has passed away four months ago. We sure had great time as always and this photo I'll share will tell how it was better than any words I can write. Some handknit vests...

It was a really long day with many cousins arounds and it takes all your time when you only have a few weeks with them before they leave for Germany so I couldn't have a chance to turn the lappy on until late hours of the day. It's thirty minutes after midnight as I write this sentence and I'm really tired and will leave right after sharing a collage of  some photos of a few vests I've knitted and listed in my shop. I wonder why people don't prefer vests much as I wish these ones to change their minds :). I spent nearly all day at my uncle's house that I've mentioned on my previous posts, because he hardly walks when he's alone with aunt and needs a little push to get up and remain awake through the day. If  nobody inturrupts; he may sleep for days, but the reason we wanted him to visit was to force him to spend more time awake instead of sleeping. Sure while I was there; all I could do was to work via my tab and when I came back home I rushed to my lappy to work on teams on 'etsy'.
