Farewells for August...

I've had an awesome time with relatives and just like every beautiful thing; it ended a bit sooner than we expected. Yesterday cousins left for istanbul and then for Germany and uncle's house is like its haunted now having only uncle and aunt after the deperture of their children and grandchildren. You know when you get used to see somebody every day; their missing gets bigger than usual and I'll be longing for their next visit; hopefully nest year. It was really hard to be online while they were there, but as I've said I was really happy even on days I couldn't do any of my daily chores. Today was my cleaning the house day as usual and I try to do my best online after long tiring hours. I've made a new treasury and sharing it here as usual with the hope you all will like it...

A day in the forest...

Some of my earlier followers would remember me writing about my city and the mountain that it lays at the skirts called Uludağ (Grand/Great/ Mountain or Paramount). Today we went to the national Park on it and the hut that one of our cousins hired there and had great time except the nausea that I had of the pressure change. Took many photos, but am a bit tired to transfer them to the lappy so will just share a few showing the landscape; as usual with the hope you all will like them...

Scarf for Summer & Fall

It's been a really hot day even August's about to end. As you know I spend every possible moment with my cousins, but it makes promoting my shop and making new items ready for it harder than times they were away. No matter how hard it is; I'm still happy to have the chance to be with them. I sure try to work online as much as I can and while doing this today; I've seen a favorite shop of Etsy owners that keeps advertising every item so Etsy can make more money and being promoted by Etsy by some covert operations has just left Etsy. I hope this will be an enough impact for Etsy owners whom they really make money of and remember the times that everything was fair for real crafters. Today I want to share a brown crepe de chine scarf that I've embellished with same color crochet. Splendid times..

As I've mnentioned on my previous posts; I try spend as much time as I can with cousins, nephews and nieces from Germany and İstanbul and last we had a cousins' dinner at my uncle's place that has passed away four months ago. We sure had great time as always and this photo I'll share will tell how it was better than any words I can write. Sharing this photo; thinking that this blog should also expose my  life as well as my craft. As usual with the hope you all will like it...

I was out with cousins last night and it was really late when I came back home so I didn't have enough energy to turn the lappy on to write a few sentences for my blog, but I know my followers exempt my laziness on such occasions :). Some handknit vests...

It was a really long day with many cousins arounds and it takes all your time when you only have a few weeks with them before they leave for Germany so I couldn't have a chance to turn the lappy on until late hours of the day. It's thirty minutes after midnight as I write this sentence and I'm really tired and will leave right after sharing a collage of  some photos of a few vests I've knitted and listed in my shop. I wonder why people don't prefer vests much as I wish these ones to change their minds :). Some handmade bags...

I spent nearly all day at my uncle's house that I've mentioned on my previous posts, because he hardly walks when he's alone with aunt and needs a little push to get up and remain awake through the day. If  nobody inturrupts; he may sleep for days, but the reason we wanted him to visit was to force him to spend more time awake instead of sleeping. Sure while I was there; all I could do was to work via my tab and when I came back home I rushed to my lappy to work on teams on 'etsy'. Sewn baby dress...

It was a really tiring spending a scorching day knitting, but I still could find some time to rest after all was done and in the evening I could also spare some time for working on teams on 'etsy' which seems to be the best way to promote your shop there after all the nonsense changes they've done make me consider of closing my shop and open on another shopping site, but sure until I make up my mind I'll try to do my best on promoting my items. As we move to Autumn slowly and see the Sun up in the sky burning; I thought it would be good to share this sewn baby dress once again for the ones that haven't seen it before. Hanknit baby coats...

Yesterday I've installed an open source software called 'audacity' so that I can make my own music to upload to my videos on youtube so visitors will be able to enjoy some beautiful tunes as they look at the items I've knitted or crocheted to list in my etsy shop. I guess I've started to learn how to play on internet world :) even it's a bit late. As time goes by; I guess I'll learn more and more tricks as etsy keeps changing its rules that end up with less sales for nonadvertising members which was a bit different at the beginning as far as I read on blogs. I guess this is all the same in business world whether its real or online. Owners get more and more greedy as earn more which end by going nuts or cause more cruel results like an actual attack on rivals. I hope 'etsy' will not go that far and remain as ones that cheat their real partners :). I guess I keep suspending things and this is really a bad habit for somebody who tries to run an online shop. I guess I need to persuade myself for a beneficial schedule, because I have to admit that I'm not good on promoting my shop; even I try to tweet all my items everyday and share some on facebook, I couldn't put 'etsy teams' to an order and I know the most efficient promoting there is doing this. I can't understand why I can't spare enough time there even for a set (some may know after etsy changed the rules in favorites on teams; one has to wait 45 mins after 300 hearts) while I have to do at least two in a day :). I really don't know what pushes me away from lappy, but what I know so well is that I had to find a solution to this issue asap. Mom & Dad

Through the daily chores; I realized I've forgotten to share some photos here on my blog and was so overwhelmed with making new collages to share here ofr my followers that I forgot to share the most important one. I believe if this is a page that lives; that we share our feelings besides our craft; then we should share everything that we care and love here. So today I'll share my mom and dad's photo on their Golden Anniversary which was on July 25th. and the cake I've made for them for that day. As usual with the hope you all will like them...

Followers of this blog might remember my reaction to the changes Etsy keeps doing to promote shops that advertise. There isn't a week that Etsy doesn't play with something of settings of the site which always end up with a page working worse. Since they've started to play behind the scene most of the shop owners lost their favorites, views and sure their sales. Gradually they change the settings for the benefit of wholesalers on the site that compete unfair by various internet tricks which a real crafter wouldn't be aware. Even if you're aware; having no ITs working for you; you can't fight with them as efficient as you can. Yesterday it was the layout they've changed and made the shop icon appear bigger on the page and you can easily understand why so I had to work on my icon and made it look clear. After changing it; I wanted to take a screenshot of my shop and share it here so you can also see it and hopefully tell me your opinion. Knit & crocheted scarves...

One can hardly move even a finger while the Sun shines up in the sky; scorching the city as it faces an enemy, but nowadays all we do is to slide our screens by that lazy and tired finger :). After surfing the net via my tab and knitting through the day; I just could gather enough energy and will to turn the lappy on and make a new collage on 'picasa'. I've voiced its name out, because I think this fraud between two big rivals (google vs. microsoft) should end and they stop trying to block one an other's software. It was after I've installed 'windows 10' a few days ago that I realized google's software are being intentionally blocked and a user has to struggle to find to solve that issue so all programs he/she installed operate. Guys remember that you both work to the same 'agency' !!! so please end this nonsense and give us a little break at least on this. Hustle bustle started early in the morning right after I've realized the awesome smell oozing from our kitchen. New baby cardigan...

My followers know so well that Mondays are days that I spend cleaning and tidying the house and end up exhausted after all's done in the evening so that I can leave myself to the soothing touch of warm water under shower. It was another scorching day and in the evening aunt called mom by mobile that we didn't understand what she was saying so mom and brother ran thinking it was an emergency. We were right; he was about to asphyxiate and hardly breathing of his meal obstructed his trachea. After first aid they've called emergency and thank God he's fine now, but because aunt is really frightened and thrilled I'll stay there tonight so have to leave right after posting this last collage of baby items I've knitted.
