White & Soft

Just because we have adjusted to daylight saving time today (with one day delay for the local elections; I guess we are the only country that suspends such a global event :)) I couldn't get accustomed to this I guess. It's 11 pm my time and I just could find time to write here, but thank God; I could at least complete the cardigans that I'll send tomorrow and before I do this I'll take a few photos of each and share here as I always do. Actually I've catched flu a few days ago and today is the day it affected me most, I wouldn't get out of bed if I didn't have to stitch the parts of the cardigans together. Well only my arms were out of the quilt and right after I did with the cardigans, I went back to sleep. I get meds and drink herbal tea of all kind with honey. Sure as you can imagine it sucks :) I know so well if I don't write to my blog a single day, this will make me feel lazy time to time and days without a post will follow eachother. I don't want this blog to be just an attempt, but a flourishing page so I'll continue as much as the net (sure this includes the acts of the government :)) lets me. I'm so sorry; can't write much today, because I feel tired and I apologise if there are irrelevant sentences in this post :) I hope you all will tolerate this. Today I want to share another ethnic scarf made of white cotton fabric with colorful print that I've crocheted all around. I hope you all will like it...

No change here...

It was an important day, we had the mayoral elections. I also went to vote even I knew nothing would change, because our people hardly change of not reading much :) They look at elections like supporting a football club and disregard all the fraud. I really hope the new generation to be better than the ones we have now; including me and make careful choices for their future. I've been watching the results and nothing's much different that I've expected. After I've voted, I came back home and continued to knit the last parts of the two cardigans, white one is completed and just stitching the arms left for the lavender one so I hope to share the photos here tomorrow and dispatch them to U.S. on Tuesday. Even it's Spring, the weather is still cold here today so I'll share an infinity scarf that I've crocheted a few months ago. It's in three shades of green that form stripes in length. I hope you all will like it...

Pink baby dress...

It's Saturday and as usual I've gone out for a walk and went to the old covered bazaar nearby my house. It's formed of shops placed on two sides of a path which was a part of a bazaar complex beside the biggest mosque of the city. The mosque and the surroundings were built like 600 years ago and in the following years became the central of the city. As the city developed, the bazaar got bigger and turned into a shopping center with new blocks spreaded around. Accordinly to the needs of retailers and shoppers the roof was placed. Today you can find shops in various lines of business and the shop where I buy buttons is there also. After coming back home, I continued to knit the cardigans, they are about be completed and I hope I'll be able to share some photos of them before I send them to my customer. The ban on 'twitter' and 'youtube' still exist, but sure we all are there whenever we want :), but it would definitely be better if we could login them without and VPN help. Tomorrow we will have local elections that I hope our people will do the right choice after many wrong ones on the last few decades :) Today I want to share a baby dress here, knit of a pink baby wool that has little dots on the thread in different colors. The dress has a short sleeves and a skirt in a lovely shape. I beleive the pom-poms add some more sweetness to the item. I hope you all will like it.

Stripes...

I wonder when will my people see the truth and join the ones that act against this anti-democratic moves. It's like we've been living in a country of silence against the unlogical arrangements in our laws that are overshadowed by millions of lies. When it came to the point that the dirt leaked, obstacles and banning took the stage. You, that follow my blog are aware of this and I want all friends to support our resistance against such nonsense prohibition for the sake of our future; not only the countries that experience this, but for the future and rights of all the world. In the time I spend for switching between the accounts and settings, I'd knit and crochet many new items and make some thorough search for the items from the shops of friends that I can share here. I hope this to change soon so we can continue our normal lives we loved so much. There isn't danger in our streets yet !!! sure if you are not in a protest against the government. If so, nobody can know exactly where you may end. Some ended in prison and some in graves while they were in the spring of their lives. I hope their souls will be in ease soon as they watch us from heaven witnessing their loss means so much for most of us. Satin Spring...

Even there are thousands of reasons to drive me mad here, I still try to continue my daily life in its routine. Everyday we wake up to some nonesense just as I've been telling you on my blog for a few weeks. Today I saw our government has banned 'youtube' for a few videos that are against them just as they did for 'twitter'. What is weird in all these issues, they still think they are right, they think they are modern and that their acts are contemporary. Even just these few samples make me mad as I write about them and trust me if you are interested in politics, just check the news about Turkey for the last decade. Trust me you will never get bored; you may not beleive what you read, you can go insane, but you'll never get bored; sure if you can bear all you witness with your very own eyes :) As a result deamons in the paradise lately and I hope to see the angelic citizens of this country around again soon. I hope to be able to write better things soon which will fit better with the cheer that Spring brings. Today I'll share a satin scarf from my shop that has lively and cheerful colors which I think will be a great accessory for Spring days. I've embellished it with handmade tassels that are the same color of the print. I hope you all will like it.

Yellow baby cardigan...

It's 10 pm. here and I just had the chance to get online. After the daily walk with my mum, some neighbors came and we had a chat over our coffees, one cup followed the other so as the neighbors. Soon we became a little crowd and it was evening when the last neighbor left. If we were British, then we should serve our 5 o'clock tea :) When you are with friends you love you can never realize how the time passes and enjoy every second of it. Right after the unexpected tea party was over, I sat to continue knitting the baby cardigans I want to complete and dispatch to my customer. This is what I try to do on custom orders; complete them as soon as possible and send them earlier than my customers expect. The net issues caused by our government still continue; frustrating, but such things sometimes come with unexpected benefits !!! In our case, we all are more experienced on softwares and know millions of ways to login to the webpages that are banned :) Besides this I've learned something else that will be useful for most of you I suppose, sure for the ones that are not in U.S. or U.K. If you use VPNs and signin the webpages you promote your blog or store, you get a chance to be more relevant; because I guess there are some local search engines that track such entries and spread it to the ones they are linked to. I get traffic from different countries I switch my VPN settings for my shop for the last few days. I'll test this and will let you know if it works as I think. Today I want to share another baby cardigan. I've knitted it of yellow yarn with 'rice' knitting. It was the item that has been the knitting sample for the baby bodysuit I've put to my blog weeks ago. I hope you all will like it.

Orange one this time...

For the last few days things get harder to work on net as I've told yesterday. To run the online shop I can signin without any extra help :), to write the blog I need to signin my google account without using virtual private network (VPN) and then after I need to turn the VPN settings 'on' to promote my items on 'twitter'. This gets frustrating if you have to switch between accounts as you work, because some search engines take 'logging with VPN' as an attack or spy software and ask you to confirm it's you again and again :) I'm sure all will turn back into normal soon and hope none of you will experince this torture or anything similar. Spending more time on net sure cause some changes in my routine, but I still try to do all I normally do on net after knitting the two cardigans I've started. The only thing I can't start as I try to complete these daily chores is to surf the web to share other people's items and promote their shops in this blog. I guess I'll never be able to do this if I don't determine a date for this so I'll start on Sunday, April 20th. Beautiful colors for Spring...

As anyone who ever read my blog can understand easily, living here; in this country gets harder everyday. Some people are still not aware where this country is being led to and this makes the other part of the country frustrated. I've told you about the 'twitter' being banned and the protests regarding this nonsense caused by our government (and now they say they'll ban facebook and youtube!!!). People who had never did much with computers than surfing on web nearly became experts of softwares that will enable them to reach the sites they want :) This is like having fun while there's tragedy all around, but this way or that people of this country will learn how precious the republic M. Kemal ATATÜRK has established and left us... sooner or later. All I hope is, this to become real without any more casualties in not only our country, but in all this region. I've written on this subject first, because I beleive nothing is more important than people's lives and happiness. I also beleive that we all need to speak out when we see injustice. Sure in all these struggle, pressure and intervention to our lives we still try to continue to live our daily lives in our routine. So I continue knitting the two cardigans for my customer and sure will post some photos of them when I complete them. Today I want to share a few photos of a shiffon scarf I've embellished with beads and spangles. It's so lively and cheerful for Spring with teal, yellow and orange colors. Don't try to ban anything !!!

There are times in your life that you want to forget as soon as possible and never remember again. They are like nightmares you want to get rid of and open your eyes to ease. My country lives such years and I'm sure anyone who checks the news regulary and in favor of democracy will understand what I mean. When a republic is governed by people who has nothing to do with modernity in their beleives, thoughts and way of lives; they take the country to dark ages. I've mentioned about the protests a few times, but sure when people in governments haven't internalized international standards of human rights, they understand nothing. The last sign in Turkey occured a few days ago. Twitter was and is banned here. Sure we all changed our DNS settings or created VPNs and signed in, but everyone is frustrated about this as well as I am. I hope this nonsense period ends soon and never repeat. Today I want to share the last baby cardigan I've knitted. I start knitting it from the collar and knit it in a single part. New baby sweater...

It was a sunny day here so it was a pleasure to go out for shopping. I had a little walk to one of the shops I buy the supplies for items I knit or crochet. I've purchased the yarn I need for the custom order I've mentioned yesterday. Besides them I've bought the buttons for the newly completed baby cardigan that I'll share a few days later here. After coming back home, I've took the photos of the cardigan and sweater that I've knitted and edited them; actually changed the backgrounds into white, because they look better that way; all like the soldiers marching abreast :) The sweater I'll post the photos is the one I've wrote here that I was knitting similar to the baby sweater I have in my shop that has a heart in front of it, but this one isn't only different in color, but also it has a flower on it instead. As usual will not write too long on Saturday, beecause I know you all have better plans than reading a blog :) Have an excellent weekend. White for Sweeties :)

Today I went out for a walk after breakfast. I went to the shop I buy my yarn from and checked if there's something new. There was a pink yarn I've knitted a baby cardigan that was sold out and when I wanted to renew the list, the dealer told me that color was out of stock so I couldn't put that sweet item back to my shop. It was a lucky day I suppose, the yarn I was waiting for was sent by the manufacturer so I bought a few clews. Came back home and continued to knit the red and dark blue baby cardigan I've mentioned a few days ago of the same pattern that sells most in my shop. In the evening I've signed in to the web page where I sell my items to work some in my shop and saw there was an order from a customer that has bought a cardigan for her daugther a few months ago. She asks me to knit two new cardigans for her daugther again; one in lavender and one in white. This makes me really happy when a customer comes with a repeating order, because it means satisfaction on the first item purchased. So tomorrow I'll go and buy some more yarn and start the cardigans. An hour ago as I was checking the group posts on google, I saw the online catalog of a yarn company and downloaded it so I can purchase easier online :) It's time to post a few photos of my items again and I want to use the ones of the baby cardigan that was sold today. Crochet tablecloth...

As you see; day by day I get used to writing. On the first few days I was really worried if I could continue writing besides all the knitting I need to complete for new listings in my shop, but time has passed so fast and I see I'm in the middle of the second month which is a good sign indicating that I can do this blogging thing. Sure this is not how this blog should be; time will be my guide and then everything will be in their tracks. When that time comes I'll be sharing tutorials of the knit and crochet work, will share knitting charts, different patterns and detailed explanations of how my items are made. besides all I want to share receipts here with you; I have a mother that's a wizard in the kitchen, but before I can start this I need to translate all she describes :) My aim is to start all these right after Mother's Day. I'll be able to spare a day for receipts and another for other crafters' work, but I have to make a thorough search for this which means more and more hard work on net :) Until then I hope you'll tolerate me sharing items from my own shop. Today I'll show you a table cloth I'm proud of. I've crocheted it with my very own hands just like all other items in my shop. It's formed of nine pieces that are exactly the same. Spring is here...

Hi again all... This century we live in is has thousands of benefits, but also has many disadvantages when compared with the older times when there were nothing to entertain us except reading and chatting with the family when the Sun sets. Today we have millions of attractions that come up with our techno gadgets, but we control none of them actually. I've been thinking on this time to time as I beleive you all had also, but yesterday it was like slap on my face. The internet company had maintenance around where I live so the net was not working all day and as you know no net means no online work :) I couldn't work on my shop (sure I could have via mobile, but it's not something I like much) and couldn't even post a few photos here on my blog. The harsh reality that we all are slaves of technology hit me once more reminding me that modern life can also be wrath. Sure the damage it makes to nature and the harm on our lives is a subject of another post :) but without energy webs not working, all these gadgets we fill our houses with mean nothing, but tons of garbage. I hope none of you will experience such a torture :) Today the weather was so hot; above the season weather averages so I think it's better to get ready for the hot sunny days of Spring and Summer. Beads on both ends...

It was an ordinary day :) being the first day of the week I cleaned the house first and after the personal care :) I started to knit some gifts for the items in my shop... shhhhhhhhh... they are surprises for my customers. I knit a little gift for every item and send them with the orders. All are handmade as every single item in my shop. They vary from a headband to a hat or just a little sheer bag for scarves, but I try not to send anything to my customers without a little surprise that I hope they'll like and generally will be a good combination with their order. So today I've been knitting little beany hats for babies as gifts for the baby garments. Then I signed in Etsy to work some on my shop, worked on the favorites I had there and visited back the shops that visited mine, did some on Pinterest and Twitter and sent a swatch of wool to one of my old customers for a new order so she can decide on the color. After posting the last photos of the scarves I've shared yesterday; the close-ups of the beaded ends, I'll go back and start to work on teams there. Sunday at home...

Following a few sunny days, the rain started again a few hours ago in a way like it missed us too much and want everybody walking in the streets get soaked to their bones even under their umbrellas :) I woke up, had my breakfast then sat in my armchair to complete a few of my knitted items as I listened to music and my lovebird; 'sugar' singing accordinly :) He is a bit different than other lovebirds I've had in the past, learned more words than all others and can even repeat verses as well as some short sentences, sing and dance and make us double up on the most unexpected moments with a word or a move. I'm sure anyone having any pet will understand what I mean. I'll write more about this mischievous and funny bird on my later posts. So after gathering the parts of the new baby sweater I've knitted for my shop, I sat in front of the computer and saved a few listings to draft; the scarves I've shared here yesterday, but will activate them right after I share the photos of their prints in my blog just as I do for every new item. Yesterday I've shared their general photos and today you'll see the close ups of the cotton scarves and tomorrow I assume I'll post the close up photos of the beading. I hope you all will like them...
