Boğaziçi; The Bosphorus...

Today I want to give a little information on Boğaziçi, İstanbul Boğazı with the well known name; Bosphorus which is a natural wonder of our planet. It's one of the straits that divides Europe and Asia within Turkey and it's the one that İstanbul lies on both sides of it. Bosphorus is the narrowest strait that is used for international navigation connecting Black Sea to Marmara Sea that's connected to Aegean Sea so to the Mediterranean by Çanakkale Boğazı (the Dardanelles). The strait is about 31 km long, approximately 3 km wide and the minimum width is 700 metres. It's said that thousands of years ago black sea was seperated from Marmara and about 5600 BC. the rising waters of the Mediterranian breached through to the Black Sea and formed this awesome landscape that leaves everyone who sees it in awe. I'd write pages and pages about it, but whatever I'll write will ever be enough unless you see it with your own eyes. I just wanted to write this post on it to be and advice for anyone who has time for a little trip to remember to add İstanbul to their route and enjoy every second no matter it's day or night. I'll share a few photos today and I hope you all will like them...
